Manchester United told summer target will cost £120m

Manchester United would need to spend a club-record fee to land one of their transfer targets.

Manchester United’s lack of striking options has been clear for some time now.

Wout Weghorst joined the club on loan in January to help plug the gap for the second half of the season.

However, when the summer rolls around, it is clear Manchester United will be in the market for a top no.9.

One of the names being linked is Goncalo Ramos of Benfica and Portugal.

Ramos made a name for himself at the 2022 World Cup when he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal’s XI and scored a hat-trick.

He has also been in fine form for Benfica so far this season and is expected to make a big move this summer.

A former Barcelona midfielder has suggested a figure of approximately €120m might be enough for interested parties to get their man:

“I believe he will be transferred for around €120 million. If Mudryk was bought for 100 million euros, then he is worth €200 million,” Igor Korneev told Portuguese outlet, Record.

“Basically, he has no weaknesses. He’s fast, he’s strong, and we understand he can beat one or two opponents in a small space. In an absolutely unbelievable way, he spins and completely changes direction.

“And I’m not just talking about his performance at the World Cup. He plays well with both feet.”
