Manchester United told Cody Gakpo transfer price ahead of January

Manchester United have been made aware of how much they need to spend to land Cody Gakpo.

Cody Gakpo has spent his entire career on the books of hometown club, PSV.

The Eindhoven-native has featured on 159 occasions for PSV’s senior side. In these games, he has scored 55 and assisted 50.

Gakpo, who made his senior Netherlands debut in June of 2021, also impressed at the 2022 World Cup before the Dutch were sent home by Argentina.

Gakpo was linked with a move to the Premier League at the start of the season as well and now a January move looks very likely.

PSV are reportedly looking for a club record transfer fee – the current fee stands at €45million for Hirving Lozano who was sold to Napoli back in 2019/20.

PSV director Brands said: “Only 10/12 clubs can pay afford Cody Gakpo in January. Let’s see if it will happen — it has to be PSV’s record sale and also the right bid for Cody’s plans. We have still no official bids. Let’s see if some club will pay big money in January.”
