The player in question is Dean Henderson.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are expected to sell the player this summer.
Henderson needs regular game time in order to continue his development and he is unlikely to get that at Old Trafford.
Manchester United are expected to bring in a first-choice goalkeeper this summer and Andre Onana is the priority target.
The team interested in Henderson is Nottingham Forest, who are prepared to pay £30 million for the 26-year-old goalkeeper.
A £30 million offer for a backup goalkeeper is substantial money and it would be surprising if Manchester United turned down the offer when it arrives.
Henderson spent the 2022/23 Premier League season on loan with Nottingham Forest.
The Englishman began the campaign as their no.1, keeping six clean sheets in 18 outings.
However, he suffered a thigh injury in January and missed the rest of the season. This saw Forest sign Keylor Navas on loan from Ligue 1 powerhouse, PSG.
Navas was superb and played a key role in keeping Forest up. But if Henderson is signing for £30m, it seems unlikely they will try and sign Navas once more.
