First up, amid rumours linking him with a potential move to Manchester United, German midfielder Leon Goretzka has made a definitive statement expressing his commitment to the Bundesliga champions.
Goretzka told Sky Germany when asked if he would be open to leaving Bayern this summer: “No. I love the club, I love the city, I love the fans.”
The second player in question is Bayern Munich’s Marcel Sabitzer.
The Austrian spent the second half of the 2022/23 campaign on loan with Manchester United were he put on a number of solid displays.
He has since returned to Germany with Bayern Munich but there was talk Manchester United could look to snap him up on a permanent deal as Bayern did not want too high a transfer fee for him.
Now, however, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Borussia Dortmund are set to sign the Austrian for just €19m and that a deal will be confirmed later this week if all goes to plan.
Manchester United must now turn their attention to other midfield targets.
