Manchester City have Erling Haaland replacement lined up as Norwegian not long-term option

Manchester City are already making plans for life after Erling Haaland.

Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm since his transfer from Borussia Dortmund over the summer.

The 23-year-old has broken countless top-flight records already and is on course to become the highest scoring PL player in a single season, with the previous record Mohamed Salah with 32.

However, Haaland is not expected to be at Manchester City for the long-haul.

According to Football Transfers, Haaland wasn’t a Guardiola signing and it was Man City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, who was the driving force behind bringing the former Borussia Dortmund star to Manchester.

It is added that the Norway international looks destined to move to Real Madrid in the future and City plan on making a huge profit when that time comes. They have also already earmarked the man who will try to fill Haaland’s boots.

Man City will once again look to Borussia Dortmund to strengthen their attack, with Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko viewed by Pep Guardiola as similar to Sergio Aguero and as the perfect replacement for Haaland for when he leaves.

Moukoko is just 18 years of age but he has already notched 63 appearances for Borussia Dortmund’s senior side, scoring 11 goals in the process.
