Premier League giants Manchester United have, on Wednesday, confirmed that an up-and-coming member of the club’s first-team setup has departed on loan for the season ahead.
The player in question? Amad Diallo.
Ivorian international Amad has of course become something of a forgotten man at Old Trafford, since marking his arrival in Manchester in January of last year.
A string of impressive cameos in Europe gave rise to hope that the 20-year-old was ready to kick on, to establish himself as a regular contributor across the 2021/22 campaign.

As much, however, evidently failed to come to fruition, with a loan spell in Scotland with Rangers having too proven altogether unproductive.
In turn, speculation had long begun to spread in the media that Amad could be moved on once more, ahead of tomorrow night’s transfer deadline.
As per a statement across Manchester United’s official social media platforms, the club’s faltering attacker has made the move to the Championship, with AFC Sunderland:
‘Manchester United winger Amad is joining Sunderland on loan for the rest of the 2022/23 season, subject to registration.’
Wishing you the best of luck for the 2022/23 season at Sunderland, @AmadDiallo_19 👏#MUFC
