Liverpool make club-to-club contact with target they tracked for 3 years

Liverpool have made contact over a long-term transfer target.

The player in question is Brazilian defensive midfielder, Andre.

Jurgen Klopp did not feel back in 2020 that it was the right time to take a chance on the player.

Now, however, according to Brazilian outlet Globo, it was back in 2020 that current Fluminense star Andre caught the eye of Liverpool scouts that were in attendance at the Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior tournament.

18 at the time, Andre started in the four matches played in the tournament but Liverpool opted not to pursue a move any further.

But Liverpool have finally made their move and whilst it is believed that Fluminense would prefer to keep hold of their man until the winter window, giving them options in the Copa Libertadores in the meantime, a decent bid may sway their decision.

Andre is valued at €15m by transfermarket.com and is under contract with his current side until 2026.
