Italian international ‘on his way to sign contract’ with Aston Villa

Premier League outfit Aston Villa are, according to reports, on the verge of sealing yet another impressive summer transfer.

The player on his way to Birmingham? Nicolo Zaniolo.

The name of Italian international Zaniolo, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines at Villa Park over the course of the last week.

This comes after word was forthcoming that Unai Emery and co. had set their sights firmly on the signature of the Galatasaray star.

Villa have enjoyed a stellar summer to date, adding all of Youri Tielemans, Pau Torres and Moussa Diaby to a squad increasingly brimming with talent.

Evidently, though, the Claret and Blue brass decided that their work was not done.

Amid ongoing efforts to crack the established ‘big-six’ order in the Premier League, the powers that be at Villa Park, in turn, identified the aforementioned Zaniolo as their latest high-profile summer target.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then a deal to bring the 24-year-old in is now all but complete.

As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Zaniolo is ‘on his way to sign the contract as new Aston Villa player later tonight’.

This comes with the former AS Roma standout having already undergone and passed his medical with Unai Emery’s side.
