Manchester United were defeated 2-0 by Real Madrid during Thursday morning’s pre-season clash.
The Red Devils had 14 attempts but failed to convert any of them into a goal with the defeat only further emphasising their need for a new striker.
United are working to bring another forward to the club with Atalanta striker Rasmus Højlund the number one target.

Erik ten hag has pleaded for a new striker and explained how it would transform his Man United team.
When asked whether United’s 2-0 defeat to Madrid highlighted the club’s need for a new striker, Ten Hag admitted: “Absolutely!
“There were two things - the pressing can be better from the start, and scoring goals.
“I think we need more players who are capable to be in the one-on-ones and we had the situations of one-on-ones.
“It was (Marcus) Rashford, it was, I thought, Scott McTominay in one-on-one situations. Garnacho, a one-on-one situation. From the situations, you have to score.”
