Harry Maguire joined Manchester United in 2019 from Leicester City in a world-record move for a defender.
During his time in Manchester, Maguire’s form has been up and down and he has received much criticism from fans.
However, he has still shone at times and he has always remained a rock at the back for England.
But now Erik ten Hag is in charge of Manchester United, Maguire has seen him game time slashed.
Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and now seemingly Luke Shaw are ahead of Maguire in the centre-back pecking order at Old Trafford.
Maguire was then linked with a shock move to Aston Villa last week. But the player himself has since spoken out about his future and is looking to fight for his place.
“It felt good, I played last week as well against Bournemouth. I was unfortunate in terms of when I come back from the World Cup, I had a bad illness, to be honest, and it knocked me back for one or two weeks.
“I feel good now. We have a lot of good centre-halves at this club, there’s a lot of competition for places and I’ll keep fighting.”
