Everton enter the race for Malian international El Bilal Touré

The 21-year-old Almería striker led from the front for the Andalusian side with a club-leading 7 goals in twenty La Liga appearances to help them stave off relegation by a single point

Relegation escape artist Everton has re-entered the summer transfer mix and is reportedly ready to battle Serie A neutral fan favorite Atalanta Bergamasca for the services of Malian international forward El Bilal Touré.

According to reports from football insider Fabrizio Romano, the Toffees, who narrowly came away with their Premier League lives in 2022-23 after finishing just two points clear of the bottom three, are eyeing the possibility of trying to hijack the 21-year-old away from La Dea after offering the same fee to Spanish side Almería.

A former youngster in the Stade de Reims ranks before heading to Spain last summer, Touré was an attacking spark in Andalusia at Power Horse Stadium, scoring a club-leading 7 goals in 20 La Liga appearances across ~1200-minutes of action while helping the club to an identical finish as the Toffees last term.

Though Everton has already brought in Dutch international winger Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal as well as securing a free move for veteran full-back Ashley Young, additional quality and depth in the forward line is of vital importance for Sean Dyche in 2023-24 with just Dominic Calvert Lewin and Neal Maupay offering the only other central attacking options after Ellis Simms left for Championship outfit Coventry City.

Despite Atalanta having already laid the groundwork in negotiations over the Malian striker, Everton is still in with a chance of convincing the player to move to Goodison Park as both clubs are primed for talks with bot Almería and the player this week.
