Chelsea’s striker shortlist revealed as contact made with two players

Chelsea want to add goals to their frontline ahead of next season.

Chelsea have already confirmed the signings of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig and Nicolas Jackson from Villareal. The former is not a centre-forward but scored plenty of goals with his previous club.

Despite this, the west Londoners are still seemingly keen to strengthen their attack this summer.

The Evening Standard report that Chelsea have drawn up a shortlist of striker targets for Mauricio Pochettino after the Argentine expressed concerns his frontline may need further firepower next season.

The Blues have been in contact with a number of options, including Montpellier’s Elye Wahi and Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic.

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund are also admired, though recent reports suggest PSG and Manchester United are leading the race for those players.

Elye Wahi is just 20 years of age but still scored 19 and assisted six in 33 Ligue 1 games last season.
