Chelsea ‘one of the most interested’ clubs targeting winger

Chiesa had a tough 2022/23 campaign that was beset with injury issues. In the 21 Serie A appearances he was able to make last season, he scored just two goals and provided five assists.

The European Championship winner is a natural left winger, which is a position Chelsea are already well covered in at present. However, he can also play on the right, making him an excellent squad rotation option.

Chelsea are looking to intensify their efforts to sign the Italian international winger Federico Chiesa, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, who add a departure from Juventus is possible this summer and Chelsea are one of the most interested clubs when it comes to the possibility of signing the 25-year-old.

No potential transfer fee is mentioned in the report, but Todd Boehly has already showcased he is not afraid to spend a lot of money, whilst the Blues have also made around £180m from sales during the current transfer window.

However, with a lack of goals Chelsea’s main issue last season, perhaps they should focus their efforts on adding another striker.
