Chelsea & Newcastle battle for Neymar in cut-price deal

Neymar looks set to leave current club PSG in the near future.

The South American signed for the French powerhouse in 2017, and he has since featured on 165 occasions for them, netting 115 and assisting 73 in the process.

However, it now looks as though PSG, who just agreed a new contract with Kylian Mbappe, are looking to move the 30-year-old on.

Neymar is currently under contract at the Parc des Princes until 2025, but there have been reports that he will receive an automatic contract extension until 2027 on July 1.

But it has been claimed that PSG do not want Neymar at the club next season regardless.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, the 30-year-old Brazilian international is a target for Premier League clubs Chelsea and Newcastle.

It is added that PSG are prepared to let the player leave for a fee of around €50-60m, and the two Premier League clubs have been named as potential destinations.

Chelsea have been quite mediocre in the final third this season and Neymar could transform their attack.
