Premier League outfit Aston Villa are ready to push forward with an audacious swoop for a high-profile member of the attacking ranks at Barcelona, according to reports.
The efforts of the transfer team at Villa Park, of course, have taken their place front and centre in the media headlines for several weeks now.
This comes with the Claret and Blue hierarchy having done a stellar job of adding to the already impressive squad under the watch of Unai Emery.
To this point in the summer, all of Youri Tielemans, Pau Torres and Moussa Diaby have put pen to paper on terms with Villa, for a combined fee of almost €90 million.

Evidently, though, the Villans are not ready to call it a day just yet.
This comes amid confirmation that Emery has earmarked another headline target, with a view to the new season.
As per a report from Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Villa are ‘pushing’ to bring Ferran Torres back to England from La Liga champions Barcelona.
Torres, for his part, is fresh off something of an underwhelming campaign at the Camp Nou, which saw the former Manchester City man notch starts in just 14 of Barca’s 38 league outings.
In turn, should the right offer land on their table, it is thought that the Blaugrana would take into consideration a sale.
One major stumbling block for Villa, however, are the wishes of Torres himself, with the 23-year-old keen to stay put and prove himself a key member of Xavi Hernandez’s squad in 2023/24.
