Arsenal’s four priority summer signings revealed

An insight into Arsenal’s summer transfer plans has been provided.

As per the Evening Standard, Arsenal are looking to add to their squad, with West Ham captain Declan Rice their No.1 target.

The Gunners are also looking at bringing in another midfielder, a defender and possibly another forward too as they prepare to return to the Champions League.

On improving their squad this summer, Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar said:

“There is still a lot do. We see our squad with a margin to improve,” Edu stated. “There are different levels of football we can go to as well and we are really excited to start next season as well, because we know where we are.

“We know probably what we need to go for a different level. We receive a lot of support from the board to do what we plan to do.

“And then, let’s face the summer and see how we are going to finish that to improve our squad.”

In terms of who else Arsenal are looking to bring in other than Rice, there have been heavy links to Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic.

101 also covered a report on Tuesday which claimed that Arsenal have tabled a ‘lucrative’ offer to bring Real Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda to the Emirates.
