Arsenal transfer target dubbed second-fastest player in Premier League

Arsenal have been linked with a very quick Premier League star ahead of the summer.

Opta have released the list of the fastest Premier League players from the 2022/23 season.

Kyle Walker – one of the few defenders in the world who can keep up with Vinicius Junior –sits at the top of the list with a speed of 37.31 km/h.

Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson takes home second place, Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk is in third, Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon 4th and Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez rounds out the top five.

The list arrived shortly after reports linking 2nd-place Brennan Johnson with a move to Arsenal.

Footballtransfers reported that Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Newcastle have been looking at the winger, but Nottingham Forest will be hugely reluctant to see him leave.

No fee is mentioned in the report, but the fact Forest were able to avoid relegation likely means it will be much harder to poach Johnson away from the City Ground.

Johnson scored eight and assisted three in the Premier League last season and though a winger by trade, he played the majority of his games in a centre-forward role.
