Arsenal submit €17m bid for right-back

Arsenal are already striving to improve their backline ahead of next season.

Arsenal used Ben White as their main centre-back throughout the 2022/23 campaign.

The Englishman did a solid job and formed a great understanding with Bukayo Saka down the right flank.

However, White is a natural centre-back and having an actual right-back brought in this summer would allow White to also provide cover in his favoured centre-back role so the Gunners do not have to rely on Rob Holding as much if one of William Saliba and Gabriel are injured/suspended.

Now, on Friday, according to Nevzat Dindar, Arsenal have submitted a €17m bid to Galatasaray for Sacha Boey but Galatasaray are expected to hold out for €25m and are unwilling to let Boey leave for anything less.

It is added that the Turkish outfit’s vice-president, Erden Timur, travelled to London earlier this week to discuss a potential deal for the Frenchman

Sacha Boey joined Galatasaray from Rennes in 2021. He has since made 50 appearances, providing two goals and four assists. He is under contract in Turkey until 2025.
