The player in question is Gremio midfielder Bitello, who has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.
According to a report from Portal Do Gremista, Premier League giants Arsenal recently sent representatives to watch the 23-year-old midfielder - who has been an important player for Gremio in recent months - in action when Gremio took to the field against Botafogo last Sunday.
The South American’s performances have attracted the attention of a number of European clubs and Gremio could open negotiations if an offer of around €10 million is presented.
Bitello joined Gremio as a youngster after spending time on loan with the club. He was promoted to their senior side in January of 2022 and has since made 83 first-team appearances.
This past season saw him score seven and assist four in 33 outings across all competitions.
Bitello is a natural central midfielder capable of playing as a defensive mid or as a no.10, whilst he was also used on the right flank numerous times in the previous campaign.
This may make him a useful rotation option for Arsenal and his low price-tag makes a potential move more appealing.
