Arsenal make decisions on Jorginho & Thomas Partey futures

An insight into two Arsenal midfielder’s futures has been provided.

Arsenal are expected to overhaul their midfield in the 2023 summer transfer window.

Granit Xhaka is expected to return to the Bundesliga this summer, with Bayer Leverkusen thought to be leading the race.

On the incomings front, meanwhile, the Gunners are set to spend a record fee to sign West Ham captain Declan Rice.

Chelsea forward Kai Havertz is also closing in on a move and despite being used as a false-nine for the Blues, he is likely to be a no.8 for Arsenal.

And whilst less concrete, Southampton’s Romeo Lavia is an Arsenal target – meaning they could have three new midfield options heading into next season.

Now, CaughtOffside have reported that Jorginho has been a target for Serie A side Lazio, with Maurizio Sarri knowing him well from their time together at Napoli and Chelsea, but a deal currently looks unlikely.

Arsenal’s position is that they would be open to letting Jorginho or Partey leave, but it looks like the latter is currently attracting more interest, with an asking price of between £30-40m.
