Arsenal face Real Madrid competition for €100m man

Arsenal are set to battle with Real Madrid for a new striker.

Arsenal currently have Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah on their books as natural centre-forwards.

But with Jesus having been sidelined for several months until recently, the no.9 role fell solely on Nketiah and he has not scored too many goals this campaign, perhaps leading Arsenal to the conclusion that they need more depth up front ahead of next season

The player on their radar to help solve this issue is Dusan Vlahovic of Serbia and Juventus.

Now though, Italian outlet Calciomercato are reporting that Vlahovic is on the shortlists of Arsenal and Real Madrid, with Juventus ready to sell their striker this summer.

Arsenal need Vlahovic for the reasons mentioned above, whilst Real Madrid are seemingly preparing for the future after Karim Benzema, who turns 36 at the end of the year

Vlahovic joined Juventus in January 2022 for £66.6m and has scored 20 goals in 51 matches for the Italian giants.

Such a fee may be a bit excessive for Arsenal and they may have to look elsewhere, though few other strikers have been linked to the north Londoners of late.
