Arsenal duo facing uncertain future ahead of new season

Two Arsenal players’ futures remain up in the air as we head into August.

According to Caught Offside, Arsenal midfielders Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe are still both facing uncertain futures ahead of what could end up being a mass clear-out in the next period of the summer transfer window.

Thomas Partey’s future has been up in the air since the back end of the 2022/23 campaign and despite more recent speculation suggesting he is now set to stay at the Emirates Stadium, sources with a close understanding of Arsenal’s current plans have stated that Partey could still leave for the right price.

Whilst Partey’s potential exit does not come as too much of a shock, especially after Arsenal signed Declan Rice, the sale of Emile Smith Rowe does.

Smith Rowe had a tough 2022/23 season, which saw his game time very, very limited.

However, the Englishman then impressed at the under-21 European Championships and a lot of reports in pre-season have stated how impressed Mikel Arteta has been with the midfielder.

But Arsenal are open to letting him go if anyone comes in with the right kind of money.
