According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal and Chelsea are both making progress as they look to sign Athletico Paranaense sensation, Vitor Roque.
Vitor Roque joined Athletic-PR in April of 2021. The striker has since made 43 appearances for his new side, scoring 11 and assisting three in the process.
Now, the 18-year-old is attracting interest from all over Europe. Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle are just some of the teams to have been linked with his services.
It was reported last month that Barcelona were getting close to landing him but they have lost ground to two Premier League teams.
TT report that Roque will definitely be available for transfer later this year as Athletico Paranaense simply cannot keep him.
And whilst lots of Premier League sides have looked into a potential deal, Arsenal and Chelsea’s interest is far more advanced.
A transfer fee of €40m is being touted for the young striker’s services. And despite still being a teenager, Roque has already been dubbed the ‘new Sergio Aguero’.
