Supporters of Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur FC have taken to social media in their numbers on Sunday evening, to direct their frustrations at star defender Cristian Romero.
Stopper Romero, of course, has spent the last couple of weeks on the sidelines.
Owing to what was described as an ongoing muscular issue, the former Atalanta star failed to feature in any of Spurs’ last five fixtures.
The latest of these came just yesterday, as Antonio Conte’s troops staged yet another remarkable comeback, en route to a 4-3 downing of Leeds United in north London.

As alluded to above, though, some amongst the Tottenham faithful, evidently, are of the opinion that Romero’s recent absence, in fact, did not come as a result of an injury.
Instead, after taking to social media to unveil a photo of himself in training with the Argentine national squad, the 24-year-old has been widely accused of exaggerating his fitness concerns of late.
You’re taking the piss right?
Cuti I love you and you are an absolute Rolls Royce centre back but have you really just sat out the last two weeks of games for your club bc you were nervous you might not make the World Cup?
Really hope not… anyway vamos Argentina 🇦🇷

Incredible defender but it’s very clear you couldn’t care less about Spurs

While you were resting, your teammates fought for a hard-earned 3 points last night. Please don’t bother to come back

While Sonny and the other injured players showed up to the game yesterday, poor form I’m afraid Cuti. You’ll need to win some trust back if you return
