Reports coming out of Spain suggest Tottenham are aiming to tie Harry Kane down to a new contract.

The future of Harry Kane was expected to once again be a talking point in the 2022 summer transfer window.

This comes after Kane rather publicly tried to force his way out of Spurs last summer to join up with Manchester City.

Of course, no move transpired, but there was an expectation that the Sky Blues would go back in for Kane this summer.

However, Man City have since signed Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland. In turn, we have seen little talk of the Manchester powerhouse making a move for Kane, leaving the door open to another potential suitor.

But, not too surprisingly, given how hard it is to negotiate with Daniel Levy, there has been little to no links to Harry Kane so far this summer.

But given Manchester United really need a new striker and Chelsea will likely have to replace Romelu Lukaku when he moves back to Inter Milan, surely someone will show an interest in Kane at some point.

Regardless, it is good news for Spurs, who appear to be trying to tie down Kane for the rest of his career at the top of the game.

It is reported that the Lilywhites are aiming to tie down Kane to a new deal until 2027:

And whilst it is not mentioned in the report, you would assume Kane will be smart enough to include a release clause this time, no matter how expensive it is.
