The latest on Ramsdale, Odegaard & Zinchenko ahead of Manchester United vs Arsenal

Mikel Arteta spoke to the press on Friday afternoon ahead of Arsenal’s next outing.

Arsenal face a trip to Manchester United in Sunday’s late Premier League kick-off this week.

Ahead of the tie, Arteta discussed a number of topics in his press conference, including team news.

It was a mixed update from Arteta who said: “Ramsdale and Odegaard – they are being assessed, hopefully they will be available to train with the team. Unfortunately with Alex [Zinchenko], he has missed two games and hasn’t been able to train.”

Arteta also commented on Arsenal missing out on a midfielder on deadline day: “We pushed to strengthen the team and bring the best possible people and players to this football club. We have managed to a certain level. Time was a big limitation with what happened in the last 72 hours in our midfield.”

Manchester United vs Arsenal

Arsenal head into the weekend’s action sat top of the Premier League table with 15 points to their names after becoming the only side to win all five of their league games in 2022/23.

So, it will be very interesting to see how this in-form Arsenal fare when they are put up against a competent side who have some quality players.
