The key stat that shows how Arsenal lost the Premier League

Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes were put to bed on Sunday.

Arsenal faced off with Brighton at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners headed into the match on the same number of games as Manchester City after the Sky Blues beat Everton 3-0 earlier in the day.

But Arsenal would have played one more game than City after Sunday, meaning Mikel Arteta’s side had to beat Brighton.

However, when all was said and done, Arsenal fell to a 3-0 defeat vs the Seagulls. They are now four points behind City with just two games left to play, meaning City can win the PL this weekend.

It was an unfortunate end to a title race which saw Arsenal spend the majority of the campaign in 1st place.

And now, an insight into why Arsenal could not get the job done has been provided.
