And, when all was said and done, secure a return to winning ways is precisely what Liverpool went on to do.
This came owing to a first-half brace courtesy of Mohamed Salah, en route to an eventual 2-1 final scoreline.

On the back of the action coming to a close in England’s capital, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the name of match-winner Salah taking its place front and centre in the headlines.
The player in question? Ibrahima Konate.
After returning to the pitch following a lengthy spell on the sidelines earlier this week, Frenchman Konate was afforded his very first start of the Premier League season on Sunday.
And, safe to say, the Frenchman went on to make his presence known.
