Manchester United’s third signing of the summer saw them snap up Rasmus Hojlund from Serie A side, Atalanta.
Manchester United were in desperate need of a no.9 and splashed big money on the Dane, with £64m paid up front and £8m in potential add-ons.
However, Hojlund joined the club with a back problem, which is expected to keep him out of action for several weeks.
This leaves Manchester United with Anthony Martial as their only fit out and out no.9.
But Erik ten Hag is not too concerned by Hojlund’s absence ahead of facing Wolves on Monday evening as he believes as well as Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho can provide cover up front:
“We are not in a rush,” Ten Hag said on Hojlund. “We know without him we have also a strong team and the position is covered. So we don’t rush in this.
“I am quite calm and composed in this situation, because Rashy is very good as a striker – we have seen last Saturday. Anthony Martial is available as well and then we have Jadon Sancho, who did very well in pre-season.”
