‘Sell him now’ - Man United fans single one player out for ruthless criticism amid Brentford disasterclass

Those of a Red Devils persuasion have been left in understandably foul humour this evening

The Manchester United faithful have taken to social media in their absolute droves on Saturday, to single one player out for widespread criticism.

The Red Devils, of course, are currently locked in Premier League action.

Fresh off an opening day defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion, Erik ten Hag’s troops have made the trip to London, eyeing a bounce back result in a meeting with Thomas Frank’s Brentford.

To say that such efforts have thus far not gone exactly according to plan, though, would be something of an understatement.

Instead, the evening’s visitors have been utterly torn apart, en route to a remarkable 4-goal first-half deficit.

A shameful display has opened the door for Brentford to run riot, courtesy of goals on the part of all of Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee, and Bryan Mbeumo.

Amid what has proven nothing short of a disaster-class on the part of their side, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the Man United faithful being absolutely up in arms.

The likes of Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Christian Eriksen have all been singled out for heavy criticism across the action at the Brentford Community Stadium to date.

None, however, has been more widely targeted than David de Gea.

Looking a shell of his once brilliant self once more on Saturday, the Red Devils faithful appear to have given up on their long-time no.1 once and for all, with just some of the highlights from across social media showcased below:
