Revealed: Why Chelsea have doubts over renewing N’Golo Kanté's contract

N’Golo Kanté is expected to leave Chelsea in the summer.

N’Golo Kanté will have been at Chelsea for seven years in the summer.

The Frenchman has had a hugely successful spell in London winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League.

But now, his time at Stamford Bridge looks to be coming to an end and he is currently searching for a new club, according to Foot Mercato.

Kanté already looking for a new club

The 31-year-old’s current contract with Chelsea ends in the summer and the Blues are not desperate to renew his deal.

The west London club have doubts about renewing his contract due to his injury record.

The midfielder has made just two appearances this season with injuries keeping him unavailable.

The last few seasons have also been hampered by issues which have reduced his game time.

According to the report, Kanté has already started looking for a new club.

He wants to remain in London, where he is very settled, although that would likely mean a move to the Blues’ rivals Arsenal or Tottenham.

PSG is not considering a move for the player despite being previously linked with him.
