An insight into the plans of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti for new signing Arda Guler has been provided on Saturday.
For those who may have missed it, youngster Guler was unveiled as the latest up-and-coming talent to take his talents to the Santiago Bernabeu a little over 24 hours ago.
On the back of a stellar breakout campaign in his home country of Turkey with Fenerbahce, the midfield creator, it is understood, was identified as a chief target by a whole host of Europe’s heavyweight clubs.
In the end, though, it was Real who stepped up to the plate, meeting the demands of their Fenerbahce counterparts to bring Guler to Spain’s capital with immediate effect.
So, just what can the Blancos faithful expect from their side’s newest addition over the campaign ahead?
Well, as alluded to above, an insight into precisely that has been forthcoming on Saturday.
Guler spent the bulk of his minutes on the pitch last season in a central role, either as an orthodox midfielder or in an attack-minded berth.
On occasion, though, he was also used out wide, on the right flank.
And, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then this may well be where Real’s talented Turk is tasked with showcasing his talents in 2023/24.
As per a report from Diario AS, Guler has already been informed by Carlo Ancelotti that he will feature largely as a right winger in his debut Blancos term.
