Revealed: The major punishments facing Juventus following their latest investigation

Juventus are once again under investigation and are at risk of facing some serious punishments...

Juventus are in real trouble following the latest investigation surrounding them.

News broke last night that the Turin club’s entire board resigned amid “legal and technical/accounting matters”.

And this morning, Gazzetta Dello Sport are reporting that Juve are facing serious consequences...

Juventus facing major punishments

The report from Italy claims that Juventus could face a sanction if the alleged financial irregularities were to be proven.

Gazzetta add that Juve are under investigation due to incorrect salary payments and private agreements in-place to trick authorities

The sanction is likely to be either a fine or a points deduction.

However, more worryingly for Juventus fans, relegation is also an option.

The 36-time Italian champions being removed from Serie A could happen if the falsification of the accounts or administrative documents or any other illegal or elusive activity (from capital gains to salaries) is proven.

The Federal Council could then send Juve to Serie B or C.

Juventus have previously been removed from the top flight due to their involvement in the Calciopoli scandal back in 2007.

La Liga have also got involved by demanding “immediate sporting sanctions” against Juventus by UEFA.

But the Italian giants now face a nervous wait over their future with the latest investigation now ongoing.

This is far from the news that Massimiliano Allegri’s team needed having already dropped out the Champions League and their title hopes looking very slim.
