Revealed: Juventus’ stance over sacking Massimiliano Allegri in January

Massimiliano Allegri is under real pressure following Juventus’ Champions League exit.

It was another disastrous night for Juventus as they crashed out of the Champions League in the group stages on Tuesday.

The Bianconeri were beaten 4-3 by Benfica leaving them with just three points from five matches.

Juve have also been struggling in Serie A and are sat 8th in the table, leaving Massimiliano Allegri under real pressure.

There has been numerous occasions where the Italian has felt on the brink of the sack, but now, following their Champions League exit, the Old Lady will surely have to consider his future.

Juve to sack Allegri in January?

But incredibly, Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that Allegri is currently not close to being sacked by Juventus.

A reassessment of the situation is likely to be made next summer with top four being a must.

If results continue to get worse between now and the World Cup, then a sacking during the winter cannot be excluded.

For now though, it is business as usual for Juventus and Allegri, which seems crazy considering their performances, Champions League exit, and the 10 points separating them from the top of Serie A.
