Revealed: How Richarlison suffered a hamstring injury & when he is expected to return

Richarlison has returned one week earlier to Hotspur Way, but in unfortunate circumstances, as the Brazilian has suffered a hamstring injury.

The forward is due to undergo tests in the coming days to understand the full extent of the injury.

Spurs have already been without Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Heung-min Son for large parts of the season and they will once again be missing an attacking option.

Richarlison’s hamstring injury details

Richarlison is facing at least one month on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury, report the Evening Standard.

During the World Cup, the 25-year-old led the line for Brazil and looked very impressive up top.

His performances showed Antonio Conte that he had a fantastic back-up option for Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.

However, that luxury of an alternative how now been taken away from the Italian for a couple of weeks.

It is understood that Richarlison suffered the injury during the warm-up ahead of Brazil vs Croatia.

The forward played 84 minutes before being subbed off.

Fortunately for Spurs, Kuluseski did not go to World Cup, whilst Kane and Son are both due back soon.

Kane is set to return next week and Son is expected to be back in training on Wednesday.

Conte’s team face Brentford on December 26.
