Revealed: Denis Zakaria’s stance over Chelsea exit in January

Denis Zakaria’s start to life in west London has been far from ideal.

Since his arrival from Juventus in the summer, the midfielder is yet to make a single appearance for Chelsea.

He is now set for crucial talks with the club and Graham Potter about his future and the possibility of leaving in January.

Zakaria-Chelsea scheudled talks

According to the Evening Standard, Zakaria and Chelsea are set to discuss the player’s future at Stamford Bridge.

The Swiss international will seek assurances from Potter over regular game time.

Depending on the conversation, Zakaria seems open to leaving the club just a few months after his arrival.

At Juventus, he suffered a similar situation, making just nine starts for the Italian club after joining in January.

The Blues have the option to buy him for £30 million in January but that looks very unlikely at this stage.

Chelsea are also looking to rebuild their midfield, with N’Golo Kante and Jorginho’s contracts coming to an end.
