Chelsea and owner Todd Boehly will continue to back under pressure boss Graham Potter despite the Blues dropping into the bottom half of the Premier League with yet another dismal defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday night.
The former Brighton boss took charge in September and has overseen major change to the squad, with eight signings made in January alone.
But results have not followed, and Chelsea have managed just four Premier League wins since the World Cup break. A disappointing 2-2 draw with relegation-threatened Everton was followed by a tragic 2-0 loss to Aston Villa, both in front of a Stamford Bridge crowd that booed their side off the pitch, piling further pressure on Potter.
As per the Daily Mail, however, Chelsea’s owners are still hopeful and ‘their backing of Potter remains intact’, despite falling to 11th in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Matters are compounded by the availability of Julian Nagelsmann following his shock dismissal from Bayern Munich last week, with rivals Tottenham also managerless and having made the highly-rated German their no.1 target.
Despite the admiration of Naglesmann from Stamford Bridge, ‘there is an undoubted desire among the Chelsea hierarchy to make things work with Potter’ even though his side continue to struggle to find the back of the net, or ways to pick up three points.
Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto will both join the club having agreed deals earlier in the season, but should results continue to fail to improve, they may be arriving to a different head coach.
