Real Madrid team news and predicted XI vs Chelsea

All the latest from the Spanish capital

Real Madrid travel to west London to take on Chelsea in the second leg of their Champions League last 8 tie, holding a strong 2-0 lead from the first clash between the sides.

Goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio in Madrid handed them a two goal advantage in a game that could have been far worse for the Blues, but still leaves them needing to score two goals or more for just the third time in 2023 just to take the game beyond 90 minutes.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side, meanwhile, will be looking to put the tie to bed in the first half, with Los Blancos seeking to win their second consecutive Champions League title, and with one eye perhaps already on Manchester City in the semi final should no major shocks occur.

Read on for how we expect Real Madrid to line up in west London, and the latest injury news that Carlo Ancelotti and his team have to deal with ahead of the clash.

Predicted XI

Team News

Real Madrid come into the second leg with just one injury concern, with Ferland Mendy still sidelined through injury. It means that Eduardo Camavinga could once again deputise at left-back, though David Alaba could also be available to do so if necessary.

It also means that the Blues are set to come up against two of their own former stars, with Thibuat Courtois and Antonio Rudiger both set to line up against them.
