Real Madrid dealt major blow ahead of El Clasico

El Clasico returns to our screens for the first time this season on Sunday.

The game is one of the biggest in football and is sure to produce an entertaining match.

Ahead of the game, both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are in fine form and Sunday’s result could have a major barring on who wins La Liga this season.

Barcelona’s form in Europe is not great, but they currently sit top of La Liga with seven wins and one draw from eight matches.

Real Madrid also have seven wins and one draw, but they have a seven-worse goal difference.

This comes with Barcelona conceding just one goal in the league so far this season.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has been speaking about his first memory of El Clasico, pointing towards a moment from Cristiano Ronaldo back in 2012:

“My first memory of the Clasico was the celebration of Ronaldo asking for calm when scoring at the Camp Nou,” Tchouameni admitted. Ronaldo pulled off the iconic celebration as he scored the winner in a tight match between the two in 2012.

“It’s going to be a great battle against a good team. We have to do everything and show our quality to win. We are Real Madrid and we don’t want to lose any games. We have good feelings and we want to continue like this.”
