Kante’s contract situation at Chelsea
Chelsea are in a strong position when in comes to Kante.
Known as being one of the nicest guys in the game, Kante agreed a five-year contract last November.
Kante became Chelsea’s top earner on 290,000 pounds-a-week as part of his new deal.

I have chosen to join @chelseafc in 2016 as it has always been my priority. I want to thank the Management of the Club, the President and my agent for making this agreement possible. I am grateful to my teammates and to our amazing fans as the adventure continues. Common’ Chelsea!
So, what do we know about Real Madrid’s interest in signing Kante?
The Athletic’s Simon Johnson and Liam Twomey have looked into Real’s interest in Kante.
It’s worth noting that both reporters have excellent links and contacts at Stamford Bridge.
Readers are told the following:
Sources have told The Athletic that influential midfielder N’Golo Kante is already one of the names on the wishlist of Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane for the 2020 close-season.
One can only speculate about Kante’s worth on the open market but at current prices, it’s reasonable to assume that he would command a fee well in excess of £100 million.
It’s also reported that both Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard have expressed their hopes for Kante to join them at the Santiago Bernabeu:
The Athletic understands both men have already remarked privately to friends that Kante is the player Madrid are missing.
Are Real Madrid still trying to sign Man United’s Paul Pogba?
According to The Athletic, yes.
Looking forward to the 2020 summer transfer window, The Athletic report:
There will surely be another attempt to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba after missing out on him in the last window.
Sticking with Pogba, rumours are swirling around that the midfielder agreed a deal to join PSG in the summer.
Italian outlet Calciomercato have claimed that Pogba agreed a £429,000-a-week deal to join PSG on deadline day.
However, PSG were unable to complete that deal as hopes that Neymar would leave Paris never materialised.
