Neymar outlines stance on PSG departure amid Premier League speculation

The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from Paris for some time

Neymar is keen to see out his career with Paris Saint Germain, despite interest from elsewhere and rumours that the Brazilian is for sale, it has been reported.

Having joined the club in 2017 from Barcelona in a record deal, he has not had the impact that he would have liked in the French Capital, with yet another disappointing Champions League exit in the early stages (this time to Bayern Munich) leaving them with just the French title to defend this season, though Neymar missed the second leg through injury.

And there had been reports of a falling out between Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, with claims that one of them would be departing and that it was more likely to be the ageing Brazilian forward that was asked to leave in favour of keeping Mbappe at the club.

However, as per the Athletic, the 31-year-old ‘wants to finish his career’ at the Parc des Princes, despite links with the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona in recent summers.

It is added that ‘irrespective of the finances involved, Neymar’s wish is to finish his playing days with PSG and help them achieve further success’.

The Brazilian will miss the remainder of the season through an ankle injury, a more serious version of that which he suffered at the World Cup with Brazil, and looks to recover from surgery to be fit for the beginning of next season.
