Emi Krafth has a knee injury and Eddie Howe confirmed on August 4 that the defender will not be involved vs Newcastle on Saturday.

Javier Manquillo has a groin problem and Joe Willock is out with a thigh injury, with both players set to return on August 27.

Finally, Fabian Schar has a thigh problem but could be back to face Villa. On August 5, Howe said: “He won’t feature tomorrow. Fabian is close to training and returning to the group but not in time for this game.”
