Napoli team news and predicted XI vs Eintracht Frankfurt in Champions League last 16

All the latest ahead of the Champions League clash

Currently running away with the Serie A title and having lost just one league game all season, in-form Napoli take on German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt in what is expected to be a somewhat one-sided affair on Tuesday night.

The two sides have met just twice in their history, when Eintracht Frankfurt won both legs of their UEFA Cup third round tie 1-0, all the way back in 1994. Back in the Champions League however, the Italian giants are travelling to Germany in high spirits, having won all of their last five Serie A games to eek out a 15 point lead at the summit of Italian football.

On the opposite side, Frankfurt come into the tie having lost just one of their last five games, and having lost just three times at home all season as they vie for a European spot next season in the Bundesliga.

Pitting in form Victor Osimhen up against breakout star Randal Kolo-Muani for a place in the last 8 is something that no one will want to miss, and we’ve rounded up all the latest team news from the clash below.

Team News

The Serie A leaders come into the tie with just one injury concern, with Giacomo Raspadori expected to be sidelined until the beginning of March through injury. Aside from the Italian, Luciano Spalletti is expected to have a full squad to choose from.

This means that fans will once more be treated to a front three likely consisting of the supremely talented Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, top goalscorer Victor Osimhen and Mexican winger Hirving Lozano, a trio that have combined for 49 Serie A goals and assists this season.
