Napoli star Victor Osimhen confirms Premier League plans amid Manchester United and Chelsea interest

The Napoli striker has been on the radar of Europe’s elite this season

Napoli star Victor Osimhen has revealed that his dream is to play in the Premier League one day, amid interest from Manchester United and Chelsea ahead of a potential summer move.

The Nigerian striker is currently in the process of firing Napoli to their first Serie A title since 1990, with his side 15 points clear at the top of Italian football.

That is in no small part thanks to Osimhen, with the 24-year-old having found the net 19 times this season, and having started all but one of their Serie A clashes.

Despite this, Osimhen is keen to one day move on to pastures new, and his form has caught the eye of both Manchester United and Chelsea, with the two clubs in desperate need of a striker this summer.

The Red Devils currently rely upon loanee Wout Weghorst, who is yet to score a Premier League goal in Manchester United colours, while Chelsea utilise Kai Havertz as their no.9, a plan which so far has seen them score just 24 goals all season, the same number as 20th placed Bournemouth.

And Osimhen has handed both sides a boost in their pursuits of the attacker, revealing that he would welcome a move to the Premier League.

“A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league but now I’m in one of the best leagues in the world which is the Italian Serie A.”

“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day but, like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”
