A series of statistics, aptly summing up the performance put forth by Marcus Rashford in Manchester United’s meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, have come to the fore online.
The Red Devils, of course, were back in action this evening.
In Erik ten Hag’s first competitive fixture in the Old Trafford dugout, United welcomed Graham Potter’s Brighton to Manchester, desperate to get the club’s campaign off to a positive start.
When all was said and done, however, to say that such efforts came up short would be something of an understatement.
An altogether underwhelming display ultimately culminated in the day’s hosts being put to the sword by two goals to one, owing to a brace on the part of Pascal Groß.

And now, as alluded to above, the alarming efforts of another key member of Erik ten Hag’s squad have too been summed up, by a head-turning stat-line.
The player in question? Marcus Rashford.
England international Rashford was utilised from the off on Sunday evening, taking his place on the left flank.
The 24-year-old, though, as proved the case across much of last season, struggled once more, giving rise to the abysmal set of statistics showcased below:
