Euro 2024: Preview, Predictions, Betting Offers and the Latest Odds

Fancy a flutter on Euro 2024? We have all your bases covered...

Euro 2024

Euro 2024 has saved die-hard fans who cannot live through the summer break without football and there is plenty on the line as the continent’s best national teams meet in Germany.

England are looking to finally win a first major tournament since the 1996 World Cup and are hoping to go one step further than their final appearance three years ago.

Defending champions Italy arrive under a new head coach in Luciano Spalletti and will not be the same side that lifted the trophy at Wembley in 2021.

Spain, Portugal, France and the Netherlands are some of the other heavy hitters hoping to make an impact while hosts Germany are vying to become the first home nation to win the tournament since the French 40 years ago.

The European Championship is always a great spectacle and fans from all walks of life will be immersing themselves in all of the action across the next month.

Later in this article, we will identify one or two bets that have caught our eye but if you need to open an account, you can find here the best promotional offers on the market at the minute.

Predictions, Bets, Odds

The odds listed below were provided by bet365 and were correct at the time of publication. However, they are subject to change.

England winners and Harry Kane top goalscorer @ 16/1 with bet365

Spain to reach the final @ 7/2 with bet365

Hungary to reach the semi-finals @ 8/1 with bet365

There is a lot of value on the market for Euro 2024 but we have picked out a few high-odds selections that might take your fancy.

If you are a believer that is is ‘coming home’, you can get England to win the tournament and Harry Kane to win the Golden Boot combined at 16/1.

The Three Lions are favourites and Kane is coming off the back of a brilliant debut campaign for Bayern Munich where he was the top scorer in all of Europe.

For something a bit less risky, Spain to reach the final stands out.

Luis de la Fuente’s youthful side won the Nations League last year and will fancy themselves to do better than their last-16 exit at the 2022 World Cup.

Finally, dark horses Hungary are getting a lot of attention and they sit at 8/1 to reach the semi-finals.

Tournament Preview

There are no easy groups for any of the big hitters at Euro 2024 but Spain, Italy and Croatia will feel hard done by having been placed together in Group B.

Dark horses Hungary will have to overcome Germany, Scotland and Switzerland if they are to progress from Group A but even if they do squeeze through they could face one of the giants mentioned above in the first knockout round.

England’s path to the final is clear. They will fancy themselves against Slovenia, Denmark and Serbia but could come across France in the latter stages, setting up a repeat of their clash in Qatar 18 months ago.

Speaking of France, they have been paired with the Netherlands in Group D and neither Austria and Poland are pushovers, so Les Bleus will have to be on their game if they are to claim their first Euro crown since 2000.

Belgium’s hype has died off in recent years but they still have some fantastic players in their ranks.

Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku will be up for the tough task of leading their country to a major piece of silverware but history could repeat itself, with the Red Devils often failing in the elimination rounds.

Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal will compete with Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic in Group F having won the tournament before last against France.

We know anything can happen at the Euros, so expect one or two shocks across the group stages before the real entertainment starts after the first few weeks.

England may be favourites to win, but plenty of other nations will use that as fuel to make sure they do everything possible to lift the trophy themselves.
