As per a report from the Daily Mail, Premier League heavyweights Manchester City and Liverpool are both keen on the signature of Reinier.
Reinier, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder, is widely-regarded as one of the finest young talents to emerge in Brazil over the course of the last decade.
The gifted teen is yet to make a senior appearance for Flamengo, but has dazzled at youth level with both the Brasilerao giants and his country.
Reinier possesses a whole rake of attacking gifts, combining perfect touch, technique, vision, ability to split opposing defences at will and crucially, a keen eye for goal.
All of these traits were on show back in March when, in an U17 South American Championship clash with Paraguay, the youngster, who has been described as a blend of Zinedine Zidane and Kaka in Brazil, notched a pair of goals and set up another to lead the Selecao to a 3-2 win.
Premier League bound?
As such, it has since come as little surprise to see Reinier, despite his tender years, linked with a move to Europe.
The last week saw reports stemming from Brazil suggest that Premier League outfit Everton were leading the race for the creative midfielder:
Everton is willing to pay €40 million for 17 year old Reinier Jesus of Flamengo. He’s currently the captain of Brazil’s U17 team and is very similar to Kaka in terms of style.

As per the aforementioned update courtesy of the Daily Mail, though, another pair of English outfits have today joined the Toffees as keen suitors of Reinier.
The clubs in question are Liverpool and Manchester City.
Representatives from both, meanwhile, are expected to watch the teen in action for Brazil’s U17’s tomorrow.
Reinier is under contract with Flamengo until December of 2020, but will not be allowed to depart the Estádio da Gávea until his 18th birthday next January.
