The Leeds United faithful have flooded to social media on Sunday, to call for imminent reinforcements to the club’s backline.

The Whites, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

In their final outing ahead of kicking the club’s campaign proper into gear in a week’s time, Jesse Marsch and co. welcomed Italian outfit Cagliari to Elland Road, for a friendly clash.

And, when all was said and done, Leeds rounded out their pre-season schedule in style.

This came as strikes on the part of all of Rodrigo (3), Patrick Bamford (2) and Robin Koch guided the evening’s hosts to a comfortable 6-2 triumph.

And yet, as alluded to above, despite the convincing nature of the eventual scoreline in west Yorkshire, many of a Leeds persuasion were nevertheless keen to make their frustrations known.

This came owing to a quickfire double netted by Cagliari just beyond the hour mark, to bring the Sardinians back to within a goal of their hosts.

One particular position on the pitch, in turn, was singled out as the key source of the Peacocks’ problems.

The area in question? Left-back.

As showcased below, Leeds’ supporters have therefore taken to social media in their absolute droves, to call for imminent reinforcements on the left of Marsch’s backline, ahead of the new Premier League season getting underway in less than seven days’ time:
