Leaked: Liverpool's home kit for the 2022/23 campaign

A series of photos of the kit expected to be donned by Premier League giants Liverpool in home fixtures next season have come to the fore on Monday.

And, if the first round of images are anything to go by, then Jurgen Klopp's troops look set for a return to an altogether traditional look.

The current campaign, of course, saw Liverpool afforded something of a shake up by Nike, with the club's jersey for outings at Anfield having featured orange trimmings across the front, as well as around the shirt's collar and sleeve cuffs.

2022/23, though, will see tradition return to the fore, with the Merseysiders primed for a return to basics - a red base, offset by a white crest, Nike logo and Standard Chartered sponsor.

United showdown

Turning attentions back towards the pitch, Klopp and co. are of course primed to return to action in a little over 24 hours' time.

After keeping the club's unprecedented quadruple hopes alive courtesy of a 3-2 FA Cup semi-final downing of Manchester City over the weekend, a meeting with the Sky Blues' neighbours is next on the agenda.

Liverpool are set to welcome Man United to Anfield for a highly-anticipated Premier League clash, aware that a victory would see them, at least temporarily, leapfrog City back to the summit of the English top-flight.
