‘I would never sit here and lie to you ‘: Jack Grealish speaks out on treble celebrations

Jack Grealish has spoken out after his Manchester City treble celebrations went viral.

Manchester City made history at the end of 2022/23 when they beat Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

That win secured the Sky Blues their first-ever Champions League trophy and also saw them become only the second English side to win the treble.

After securing the treble, the City squad celebrated in Ibiza and then in Manchester.

During the celebrations, Grealish caught the eye on social media.

Now though, the player has responded after he was spotted pretty drunk on several occasions and was even reportedly offered a wheelchair.

“I don’t think it is a party boy thing,” Grealish insisted. “I would never sit here and lie to you and say ‘Yeah, I don’t drink and I don’t party’ because I do but then there’s so many people that will come here and say to you ‘I don’t do this, I don’t do that’ when they do. I’m just truthful.

“So I went and enjoyed myself and I wasn’t the only one – I think a lot of the time you’ll see everyone recording me, I could show you all this stuff other people where they were the same.

“That last weekend was probably, well definitely, the best weekend of my life.”
